I'm two

I don't know why the pictures post backwards, but here you go.  Anna is two!  I was really sick the day of her birthday, so we celebrated the next day, she didn't know the difference. She loves princesses, like every little girl.  So I made her a blanket, which she calls a balnkblank.

We had a birthday party for her, I found her this cute dress for $6 and she had to wear rain boots with it.  Oh well, it was her party.
Yes!  I did make it!

Some things Anna loves: her sister   the beach     purses     babies    bubbles   books
                                             food        Swings           slides       dogs       shoes
She is potty trained, protests nap time and leaving the library.  Likes to help and is very compassionate.   We love Anna and are excited for another year!

Anna's first kiss

This is Joey!  Anna's best friend,he lives just a couple doors down so they play together often. This picture was taken in late November.  It was too cold to go to the beach.  But not to cold to play in buckets of water.  Joey didn't like wearing wet cloths, and he claimed his bucket by using it as a restroom.
This was at Balboa park.  On tuesdays residents get into the museums for free!  The science museum is their favorite.
And it happened.  We had been watching Joey and when it was time for him to go home.  His dad told him to say good-bye.  He took that opportunity to lean in and give Anna a little kiss.  It was the cutest thing.  All you parents are hoping that for your kids first kiss that both sets of parents are standing right there watching.
Josh had a good talk with Joey about where he is going in life, and what his intentions are with Anna.  Joey is a great friend!

The last of christmas

By special request here is a better picture of my beautiful table.  It is square and seats 8.  I love it!  Anna also loves it, because she can walk under it, get into the middle and then I can't reach her.  She thinks it is a great game! This is Anna's last gift, she couldn't play in it on Christmas because it was raining.  So much for sunny california.  It is a 12 x 12 foot jump house.
Here is a better view with her friend Joey.
It rained Christmas day and Anna doesn't know that she is missing out on anything.  Josh however was another story.  He sat at the window like a little kid, and would turn to me with a big smile and say, I think is going to stop raining the clouds are moving.  I would just smile and try not to discourage him.  However when he finally realized we weren't going to be able to set up the jump house he was almost in tears.  Luckily our 3 weeks of winter are over and we can play in the jump house everyday!

More Christmas

So Josh found that Piper loves to watch the pictures on our NEW computer.  Thank you santa for our Mac, we love it!
Piper loved all her toys, although she will get one more, once we get the coupon.  I figured she could wait a couple weeks to get her last present.
I know what you are thinking, what a dumb picture of a blanket.  However, under the blanket is where Anna spent more of christmas.  Piper got a mat with toys to lay on.  Anna put the blanket over it and sat under there playing with the toys and reading her books.

Merry Christmas

Anna got twins on christmas eve, so they had to help her unwrap all her presents.  It took us all day to open presents,  Anna would stop and play with everything she got.
Cute picture of Josh and Piper, however can you see the chair in the back?  We got a new table!!!  I love it after 6 yrs and taking full advantage of the table I bought for $6, it was time.
Luckily our kids are young and don't know the difference between christmas and any other day.  So christmas didn't begin until after 8 am, luckily.  I have been so tired, Josh has had some time off so we have been staying up late.
Anna loves to hold Piper.  Piper doesn't love it as much as Anna does.

We didn't have much room this year for decoration, here is our village.  Do you notice the two little feet, this is an addition to the village.  It is also someone's favorite hiding place.

Piper's blessing

We blest Piper in late October. Josh's parents, brothers, their wives and children were able to come.
My Mom, coolest brother Wyatt, and niece Sydney (Travis's little girl, he is my other coolest brother) were able to come and make a little trip out of it. We went to the beach, Anna's favorite place, and went to our favorite ice cream place. They were here for a short time, but we had a blast.
Aren't we so good looking!!!
This is my beautiful little girl. Piper is such a happy baby. And she is amazing, she can fall asleep on her own, without nursing, she sleeps for long periods of time and can entertain herself. We all love our new little member of the family!

Happy Halloween (a little late)

Halloween is one of Josh's favorite days! We always order a pizza, Josh's favorite food! Thanks to some friends we found Giant Pizza King. It is the best pizza we have ever had, and we got a 28 in pizza. I had to turn the box side ways to get through the door.

So I have to explain how I got a little blue monster. After having Piper I wasn't about to hunt for a costume for Anna. So I told Josh he was in charge of getting Anna's costume. He did buy it in the boy section, but she looks so dang cute and she fits the part perfectly.

Piper's costume came from the girl section, she is our cute little glow worm. She had a blast on Halloween!

My two adorable girls :)

Anna spending quality time with Piper

Anna goes for "rides" on Josh's back when he gets home from work. So one morning I hear Anna saying, "ride, ride, ride." Only Josh wasn't home. Anna is standing over Piper trying to go for a ride on her. So I explained to Anna that Piper can't give her a ride yet. So later that day...... I'm making lunch and Anna comes running in the kitchen with the "I didn't do anything look" I walk into the front room and see this, Piper giving Anna's baby (who is also named Piper) a ride! At least Anna learned that she can't go for a ride on Piper.
Anna loves her sister so much that she is constantly in her bassinet, so I had to move everything away from it so Anna couldn't climb in anymore.

Anna is reading Piper Parnting Magazine, I'm just hoping she is reading the article about being a well behaved toddler. We all have our dreams!!!

Anna has learned to share! I consider this a milestone in her develpoment, but we did have to work on not putting things in Piper's face.

Their favorite thing to do together is have belly time. Whenever we put Piper on her belly Anna rushes over to her. Anna also gets really mad if we pick Piper up and she isn't done having belly time. Josh and I just sit back and adore these moments!

Big Sister at Play

One of Anna's favorite places to go is the beach, reguardless of temperature. With all 6 teeth chatering she will play in the water until Daddy takes her to her towel and Mommy to warm up.
She has no fear, running over piles of slimmy seaweed or "weeweed" as she calls it to chase the waves and charge into the surf as far as she can go. When a big wave comes and knocks her down she pops right back up and say's "Brave!!" and charges off again.

Anna's sand fortress to protect her from the waves soon turned into a pool that she enjoyed far more than any fortress.
First children get all of the coolest new toys, Anna is no exception, but with all the toys the coolest thing in the house is a box that I got at Costco and a stolen baby from Grandma's house.
In an attempt to help Piper sleep, Anna and Kai played sweet melodies on the piano. It was a whole show, Anna played and danced while Kai sang.

Piper Lily races to the family

After 45 minitues of intense all natural labor (free of any pain relieving drugs much to the dismay of Adele) Piper Lili raced into the world at a whopping 8lbs 10oz and 21 inches long. Anna loves "her" new baby and loves to give her tons of hugs, kisses and the famous ananconda squeeze.
My three girls

Piper quickly picked up on dad's baby sitting style, dad sleeps, kids sleep, all is well.

So my sister let me know that the last thing I posted was "we are getting ready to sell our house." She said since we don't have a house anymore that I needed to update my blog. We've had a lot happen in the past 4 months. We sold our house, packed up and moved to San Diego! I couldn't find a picture of the front, but this was our living room and our backyard.
Josh and Anna really miss the yard :( We don't have a yard anymore, so we are without Roxy for a short time.
Josh graduated college!!! In a year he will be starting his masters program
Anna is trying to learn how to diaper her baby. We practice all the time. When she gets a new diaper, her baby does also.
For all who don't know, this will come in handy when she needs to diaper the new baby. We are expecting another little girl in September!!!

A short appolige to all who have emailed me. I promise I'm not ignoring any of you, things have just been crazy. I will get back to all of you and am so glad that I was contacted.

We are getting our house ready to put back on the market, thus many new things are out for Anna to find! Like a bar of soap! She managed to get it open for a taste test.
Lets hope she never talks back, after this picture she put it back on her mouth! What an adventerous little thing :)
Our garage is full of fun to be had. Anna climbed over all this stuff to get into her car. She got it for christmas and loves it, so every now and then I hid it from her otherwise I spend all day driving it around our huge house.
